Mini book Life is Good !

Here is in preview some sneak peeks of my mini album "Life is Good" which I will teach in Belgium at the end of the month for the "French Crop"!

A colourful and unstructured album in which to insert your most beautiful outdoors pictures!

Once again I had fun using my favourite dies of the moment, the Pola, as well as the embossing folders 

Here is the list of the supplies I used with a focus on the Sizzix dies.

The frames are cut with the Big Shot machine out of white Bristol paper. You can either outline the edges with a thin-tipped black pen, or let them white. I coloured the frame with my Adirondack anise green ink (Citrus): what you have to do is apply the colour on a Teflon mat, spray water on the colour and apply the frame on the mix. The colour will settle on the frame in a non-uniform way for the best of effects!

The smallest of the frames is used on one of my pictures, the largest helps putting the focus on one of the patterned paper. A green flower cut out of paper comes as an accent for a finishing touch.

I used the embossing folders with white paper as well. For an understated and classy effect, no need to further work on them, like on the lay-out “Life is Good”. The hexagon patterns stand out well. The title is set in a bubble at the center of the page for a better highlight.

Or if you’d like to, you could rework these embossed white paper with inks, like in the lay-out “Love”, for a more freestyle result! The thing is you have to mix the colours without leaving marks. Here I used the 3 following colours applied with cut’n dry (Adirondack Sunshine Yellow, Clover, Red Pepper, Stonewashed).

Je me suis amusée une fois de plus avec mes dies chouchou du moment les Pola ainsi que les plaques à embosser :)

Les cadres sont découpés à la Big Shot dans du Bristol blanc, vous pouvez repasser les contours en utilisant un stylo noir fin ou bien les laisser blancs. J'ai également coloré ce cadre avec mes encres Adirondack ici la couleur vert anis (Citrus), il vous suffit pour cela d'appliquer la couleur sur une plaque téflon, de vaporiser d'eau et d'appliquer son cadre blanc par dessus, cela vous permettra de récupérer la couleur avec des effets irréguliers !

J'ai utilisé le plus petit cadre sur une de mes photos, le plus grand cadre Pola sert quant à lui à mettre en valeur un des imprimés. Une fleur verte découpée dans un papier vient le compléter.

Les plaques sont embossées également sur du papier blanc, vous pouvez les laisser ainsi pour des pages sobres et classes comme sur la page Life is good.Les motifs hexagonaux ressortent bien, le titre est mis en valeur dans une bulle au centre de la page.

Ou encore les retravailler avec des encres comme sur la page intitulée "Love" le résultat est ici plus freestyle ! Il s'agit de bien mixer les encres sans faire de traces, j'ai utilisé ici 3couleurs appliquées au cut' n dry ( Adirondack Sunshine Yellow, Clover, Red Pepper, Stonewashed)
